Private Insurances
The coverage of costs and frequency of visits is often specified under your insurance policy coverage. For this reason, I recommend that you check the terms and conditions of your insurance policy beforehand.
Please feel free to bring the necessary application forms with you to our first appointment.
Covering costs yourself
Services such as psychological counselling and coaching are not covered by health insurance companies, as they are not medical treatments.
These services are billed according to the fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP). I would be happy to discuss the individual costs with you.

Statutory Insurance
My practice is a private practice. However, it is possible for patients with statutory health insurance to receive therapy without having to pay for the costs privately. This is made possible by the so-called ‘Kostenerstattungsverfahren', i.e. cost reimbursement procedure.
The ‘emergency regulation in the event of undersupply’ (§13 (3) SGB V) basically states that if the waiting time is unreasonable, your health insurance fund must reimburse the treatment provided by a therapist who is not approved by the health insurance fund. This entitlement to reimbursement is regulated by law and applies to all statutory health insurance funds.
Hence, in exceptional cases, the costs of psychotherapy can also be covered in a private practice.
Late cancellations / No show
A psychotherapy practice is an appointment-based practice that works with longer appointment lead times. Psychotherapy is carried out over a longer period of time with a fixed treatment duration.
Appointments cancelled at short notice cannot usually be rescheduled. Therefore, binding appointments are necessary.
Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the agreed session, regardless of the reason. Otherwise, a cancellation fee will be charged privately.
